Description
A brilliant electric-blue damsel with a clean yellow tail. Hardy, inexpensive and one of the few damsels peaceful enough to recommend without caveats.
Feeding
Omnivorous and unfussy. Marine flake, pellets and frozen mysis and brine shrimp.
Compatibility
Reef safe and among the least aggressive damsels, though still territorial with age. Best added as a small group at once rather than singly over time.
Behaviour and personality
Active, bold and always in view. Establishes a small territory around rockwork.
Before you buy
Considerably better behaved than the domino or three-stripe damsels, but still a damsel - expect some territorial behaviour as it matures. Extremely hardy and a reasonable first marine fish.
