With their elegant, humped backs and flowing fins, Ryukin goldfish bring a sense of drama and beauty to aquariums that few freshwater species can match. Originating from Japan and evolving from the classic Fantail, Ryukins are admired for their bold colors.

Butterfly moor's are omnivorous. Feed them sinking and floating goldfish pellets flake and broken-up algae wafer. Will also happily eat bloodworm, brine shrimp and other meaty fresh food (frozen is fine).

Red moor's make peaceful additions to community freshwater tanks with other goldfish or low-temperature tolerant tropical fish of a similar size. They are relatively easy to keep healthy if the tank is clean, well filtered, and they are fed a good diet. This makes them suitable for beginners.

A fully grown moor goldfish usually reaches 15-20cm, around 6-8" inches in length. Care must be taken not to house with smaller fish that can fit in its mouth, when it reaches adult size - black moor goldfish will happily swallow small tetra or similar tankmates. 

Panda moor goldfish have distinctive black and white colouring, like a panda, and are one of the rare varieties of the species. This colouration is simply a lack of black pigmentation on a black moor goldfish, and can sometimes display flecks of traditional goldfish orange.

When placed in the aquarium, the holiday block gradually dissolves, releasing food particles (typically small pellets) into the water over a set period, typically ranging from a few days to a couple of weeks. If you're planning to use a holiday block or an automated feeder it's a good idea to test it in advance to ensure it suits your aquarium's needs.

These goldfish are hardy and peaceful, making them a great choice for aquariums. However, due to their delicate scales and unique shape, they require specific care. They prefer a well-maintained tank with stable water conditions and a balanced diet of high-quality fish food, including pellets and occasional treats like vegetables or live food.
